Successful Blogging Tip – Blog Often and With Passion!

2 Keys to Successful Blogging

The key to successful blogging is to blog frequently, on a regular basis, and to let your passion shine through.

You want to blog often for two reasons. To keep your followers interested, and to improve your rank at the search engines.

You want to blog passionately about you topic because there are plenty of blogs out there… Lets face it, you’ve got competition and a commonality of ALL successful blogging sites is frequent, passionately written content.

When you blog passionately on a subject, that passion shines through and will keep your visitors coming back for more.

So how often should you post?

At a minimum, three times a week – and two more times if you can.

Remember, you are establishing yourself as an expert in your field. Experts have a lot to say and people who follow those experts are hungry for insight.

And while it’s important to post frequently as a successful blogging habit, you must keep quality in mind. Don’t rehash content you have posted previously. Keep your content fresh, personal, and relevant.

Keep the Content Fresh Partner!

You may be wondering how you are going to come up with enough content for any topic to blog three or four times a week on a regular basis…

Not to worry – with a little planning, blogging frequently and consistently is easy.

- Choose a topic for your blog that is of great interest to you personally.   This will ensure that you can come up with a lot to say about it.

- Plan your posts. Break your blog topic into sub-categories, and break those sub-topics down too. Try to make a list of 20 to 40 sub-categories and keep adding to that list as new ideas come to mind.

By the time you finish your 20th post you will certainly have developed a sense of how to make your blog flow.

- Outline each post in point form and then simply fill in the blanks. Write in a natural, conversational tone and be yourself.

Don’t be afraid to incorporate your personal experience. What you think and what you feel are vital to the success of your blog. Blogs, in their very nature, are personal – that’s what people like most about them!  Successful blogging reveals your personality to the reader so they can get to know you.

- Blog passionately! People will be more inclined to return for more if they can sense that you have a true passion for your blog topic.

You passion will not only feed your visitors need for information on a specific topic, it will also boost their confidence in you.

Keep in mind that there is an important difference between consistency and frequency…

Consistency relates to something being done over time. Frequency relates to how often that something occurs over time.

In successful blogging you need to be both consistent and frequent with your posts.

It’s not a good idea to make five posts one day and then not post again for three weeks… Instead, make a post every couple of days, and don’t leave any huge gaps in time before posting again.

This will satisfy your followers with fresh insight so that they don’t lose interest, and will keep the search engines spidering your new content.

Search engines like to see plenty of activity on a blog.

It’s also important to use relevant keywords in your posts.

Do a little research to find out what keywords people are using to search for information and write your posts based on those keywords.

You want to make sure that you are writing about topics and subtopics that focus on the kind of information that people are actually looking for.

You can use the Google AdWords keyword tool to find out what keywords people use when searching for information.

Blogging is a great idea for business.  It not only provides great content to your visitors, it allows you to shine as an expert in your field.

So plan your posts, then blog often and consistently to ensure that your followers keep coming back for more and you will be well on your way to successful blogging.

Make it a great day!
